International Tango Day 11 December
commemorating the birthday of the tango singer Carlos Gardel, and the musician and composer Julio de Caro.
HAPPY TANGO´S DAY TO ALL WHO LOVE TANGO !
"La milonga" by artist Marcela Troncoso
Words of the artist:
"This mixed technique, 50 x 70 cm. combines gouache, watercolor, colour pencils. It was created in 1997 intending to represent the atmosphere of a real milonga in a satiric way.
It´s a hommage to two of my first tango teachers Roberto Contreras and Maria Lemos, who appear in the scene.
It´s also a hommage to Carlos Gardel, a singer that brought me to tango with the nostalgy in his voice.
It´s a hommage to the thousands of musician whose music I have danced to.
And finally it´s a hommage to all tango dancers, specially those old "milongueros" that inspired all new generations of dancers, and who were so generous sharing their knowledge to everybody. Thanks to them Tango has survived many storms, and will survive current storm as well.

COURSE 1: TECHNIQUE AND MUSICALITY
--- Thematic: Main concepts about own Technique (axis, posture, balance, pivot, disociation) Main concepts about Musicality (tempo, double, half, phrases, pause, rhythmical variations, among others...)
--- Methodology: Exercises alone, in couple, in group. Movements and figures in couple.
--- The last class will be dedicated to Technique and Musicality in different TANGO STYLES
COURSE 2: CONNECTION AND FLOW
--- Thematic: the embrace, choosing connecting points, different possibilities of axis and balance in couple, contraposition, leading and following. Mirror movements, Directions, circular and linear movements, levels in the dance
--- Methodology: exercises in couple and in group. Movements and figures in couple.
--- The last class will be dedicated to Connection and Flow in different TANGO STYLES

Tango course 2nd part & Open drop in / private classes with Marcela Troncoso in Ystad
Welcome to the Tango courses in Ystad, to all levels with Marcela Troncoso!
You may join the course or just attend to single classes (drop in system) o book your private classes after or before the course.

After an inspiring first course of the season (5 September until 17 October), now we are ready for new challenges and great time at the second course!
SCHEDULE
6 CLASSES ON MONDAYS 18.00 -19.30
• Course 2 (six classes): CONNECTION AND FLOW: starting 31 October until 5 December
• Special Repetition class/ knytkalas: 12 December
VENUE: Lancasterskolan, Klostergatan 10, Ystad...

INCLUDED IN THE COURSE: free refreshment (traditional swedish Fika) in the pause to all students.
- You do not need to register in couple.
- Classes/ courses are open to ALL LEVELS, since we show movements in different levels of complexity.
- You may participate in single classes (DROP IN).
- Register in advance if you are attending to the whole course.
- Course is held in Swedish, but we speak english and spanish.
- Course is organized in cooperation with Ystads Tangoklubb.
